Telehealth Rules
- Absolutely no telehealth appointments will be held in a moving vehicle.
- A child and the legal guardian must be present in the same call but they may be at different locations on the same conference.
- The patient’s feet must be on Virginia soil.
- Video must be available.
- Please have the patient’s height and weight available before the appointment starts.

Services
Medication management includes the prescription and monitoring of medications for the maintenance of mental health. Diagnoses based upon clinical presentations may be determined. This is a functional assessment and diagnosis of the presenting signs and symptoms and is sufficient to guide medication and therapy selection. A full and complete psychological assessment may be required by insurance companies, school systems, and others for the determination of benefits or to differentiate complex presentations. Typically, a psychological assessment includes evaluation for intelligence, anxiety, autism, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, memory and processing speed, and others are indicated in the initial interview with the psychologist. A complete psychological assessment is performed by a licensed psychologist and may require several appointments. There are several services in Hampton Roads that may be able to provide complete psychological assessments.
